    J.J.J. Rigal (1926-1997), pseudonym of Jacques-Joachim-Jean Rigal, was a French engraver , painter and sculptor.  He notably illustrated bibliophile books and founded with his friend the poet Francis Garnung the society of bibliophiles “Les Impénitents”.  Rigal was a member of the International Committee for Illustrated Books and the National Committee for French Engraving, and the Society of French Painters-Engravers.  His awards included the National Engraving Prize (1954) and Île-de-France Engraving Prize (1963).
