  • A extremely rare 1841 edition (first edition) of 15 duotone lithographs by Adrien Prevost (signed in stone), forming a 6 3/4 foot long panorama of the 1840 Paris procession of the return of Napoleon Bonaparte's remains from St. Helena's Island.  The panorama extends from the Arc de Triomphe (on the right) to Les Invalides (on the left).  In the lower margin, captions note the different groups forming the procession.  Print size: 6 1/2 inches; 6 3/4 feet.  Very good condition: board mounted, barely visible folds as issued, some scattered foxing.
